Kirsten H. Mood and Matthew R. Shaud presented at the Florida Association of County Attorneys, Inc. (FACA) June 2023 CLE Seminar. The presentation included a review of the legal requirements for local government code enforcement activity and prosecution of violations, including compliance with Chapter 162, Florida Statutes, and applicable case law.

The presentation also covered available options for abating nuisance violations, up to and including injunctive relief, and a step-by-step discussion of the process for initiating actions to support code enforcement via injunctive relief.
