Mr. Boileau is a 1993 graduate of Florida International University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, and a 1998 graduate of Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law. Mr. Boileau joined the Firm in 2023 where he concentrates his practice in the areas of governmental law and litigation. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Boileau served as City of Fort Lauderdale City Attorney from September 2018 through February 2023.
Mr. Boileau is an AV® Preeminent™ rated litigation and appellate attorney with over 23 years of substantial experience in state and federal courts representing governmental entities and private parties in diverse areas of the law, including governmental liability, police professional liability, land use, civil rights, elections, legislation, general liability, prosecution and defense of extraordinary writs, code enforcement, employment discrimination, employment and labor disputes, whistleblower litigation, personal injury, insurance defense, and construction litigation. Mr. Boileau’s experience in representing local government clients includes advising on parliamentary procedures, and drafting ordinances, resolutions, opinion letters, and a wide variety of contracts, as well as comprehensive agreements for public-private partnerships.
